WebOct 10, 2024 · When our app calls external program (small memory usage), the child process tries to allocate 8 more GBs of memory and therefore crashes with Errno::ENOMEM: Cannot allocate memory. In other words, child process copies the whole memory of the parent process when executing fork system call.
