Gastric tuft cell
WebTuft cells are a rare population of epithelial chemo-sensory cells that line the gastrointestinal and respiratory tract (9, 10), and can be identified by expression of Doublecortin-like kinase 1 (DCLK1) or Choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) in mouse and humans, respectively (11). In WebGastric stem cells represent an adult stem cell population residing in the stomach tissues with high proliferative potential, which enables efficient stomach epithelium regeneration and repair. Following the comprehensive investigation of intestinal stems cells, the identity of gastric stem cells is being explored.
